Individual's families/carers, Support Workers, Allied health professionals such as Occupational Therapists, General Practitioner, Psychologist, Psychiatrist, Teachers etc.
Requirements
Bachelor of Applied Science (Speech Pathology) or Bachelor of Speech Pathology or equivalent.
Current practising member of Speech Pathology Australia or AHPRA Registration.
Experience in assessing and treating patients with disorders of communication and swallowing
High level interpersonal skills incorporating excellent communication, organisational and negotiation skills.
Capability to work independently to achieve identified goals within time constraints.
An understanding of NDIS is desirable.
Experience working with children, young people and adults with disabilities and challenging behaviours.
Ability to respond appropriately to crises and manage risk.
Ability to establish rapport with children and be fun!
Current WWCC and NPCC.
NDIS Worker Check.
Ability to work independently.
Current driver’s licence and ability to use your own car to do preschool/ school/ home visits as required.
About the Company
An exciting opportunity currently exists for a Speech Pathologist to join our Multidisciplinary team on a contract basis. Working alongside our team of Behaviour Support Practitioners and Occupational Therapists, you will provide acute Speech Pathology assessment and management to Children, Young People and Adults with communication and swallowing difficulties.
